Your wedding photography is important and naturally you have lots of questions. Here are the answers to some of the questions I get asked the most. If you can’t see what you’re looking for, please drop me a line.

Where are you located and do you travel?

I live on Cape Cod and shoot weddings throughout New England and the rest of the US. As an experienced destination wedding photographer I’m also on call to shoot weddings anywhere in the world, so if you’re planning a wedding abroad get in touch!

What is your travel fee?

I’m a seasoned local and international wedding photographer and love to travel.
I don’t charge travel fee within New England states. Also, depending on where your wedding is located, for example, if it’s further afield than New England, I may request hotel accommodation for the night before and after the wedding.

If your wedding is abroad, I ask that you pay accommodation and travel expenses (return flight ticket, plus local transportation if needed).

For weddings very far away or abroad I’ll provide you with a quote including my flights, accommodation, plus any other travel costs. Experience shows it’s easier if I make these arrangements as I need to ensure I have enough baggage allowance for my equipment.

What is your wedding photography style?

My photographic style is a combination of classic and modern photography. I take a photojournalistic approach to your day, capturing those beautiful ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-them’ moments that will make you smile years from now. Over-posed photos are a definite no-no, so I work with you from the start to create natural, relaxed images of the two of you together.

Do you work with a second photographer?

Most of the images you see on my website are shot by me without a second photographer. However, if you’re planning a large wedding over several days with lots of guests, then you may benefit from a second photographer. If this is the case, I have a number of super talented photographers on hand to help. I’ll give you details so you can review their collections and see which one that you like.

What equipment do you use?

I shoot on professional-grade Canon 5D Mark III and Sony A7. I carry multiple lenses and flashes so I can create beautiful, smooth images from any distance and in any kind of light. I also have an incredible film camera, Contax 645, which I occasionally throw into the mix.

Do you have back up?

I’m crazy about back up! I carry extensive reserve equipment including extra cameras lenses and flashes. You should also know that I am fastidious about preparing for wedding shoots and the after care of your images. In the event something seriously extraordinary happens and I am unable to photograph your wedding – it’s never happened before – I have several great wedding photographers I can call on to step in, so rest assured your wedding photographs will happen!

How many wedding photos do we receive?

I take as many photos to cover your wedding as needed, which, if we’re talking numbers, equates to a minimum of 50 photos every hour of your day. For a day’s shoot you can expect on average between 400 and 600 professionally edited, high-res images.

Do you need a wedding photography shot list?

You only need to provide me with a shot list of specific group photos of family and friends that you’d like or if there is something unique or unusual you would like captured – as for everything else, I’ll have it covered.

What kind of wedding albums do you offer?

I offer an awesome selection of classic, custom-designed wedding photo albums and photo books. Your album can be finished in different materials and styles, from buttery soft leather to natural linen. No matter how often your album is looked through – even when your children ask to see – your wedding photos will look amazing.
